Two-Headed Girl

you are lost in our stomachs
where the arabica berry is lush with her mud

you swim you
lick the
lining like linen tongues
lick the flames by a window.
But you are lost
in our stomachs
in that coffee ocean– you
don’t drown but draw
sails up a dwindling mast
your ship is losing buoyancy
Can you feel us as we
heave and drop our mighty shoulders
in blue laughter
as I pat my stomach
having swallowed your sewing machine body
in one gulp?

in one gulp?
